Update on the Arab Spring: One Year Later
February 22, 2012

SOLD OUT (please call to be placed on a waiting list)

For the past year, the Middle East and North Africa have been upended due to a revolutionary wave of demonstrations known as the Arab Spring.  Since the protests began, the governments of Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya have fallen and major protests have occurred throughout much of the rest of the region. Yet many questions remain about the prospects for democracy, as well as the impact that new leadership and growing Islamic influence will have on regional stability. Please join us as Philadelphia Inquirer foreign affairs columnist Trudy Rubin and Al Jazeera senior political analyst Marwan Bishara offer their analyses of the Arab Spring and its long-range implications for both the Arab world and the greater global community.
