China and the Olympics: an Afternoon Workshop for High School Students


When China hosts its first Olympic Games in the summer of 2008, the country will be showcased on the world stage. We will use China's Olympic moment to discuss the world's most populous nation's emergence as a rising power and economic giant. Program components will include contemporary culture and a taste of Chinese food.

Date: Thursday, May 1, 2008 3:30 - 6:00 p.m.
