Model UN

Now held intermittently, the Council's Model United Nations has the distinction of being the nation's longest running high school program of its kind. Model Senate

This challenging and intellectually stimulating program provides motivated high school students with a unique opportunity to learn about the workings of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC) and to critically analyze global issues from a national and international perspective. Students attend a variety of preparatory sessions and take on the roles of senators, cabinet officers, ambassadors, corporate executives, journalists, think tank analysts and expert witnesses. On the day of the hearing, students work together to develop solutions to realistic problems typically addressed by the SFRC.
