Student Steering and Advisory Committee


A representative group of high school students who assist and advise the Council's Education Department in the development and implementation of student programs.

General Information on Membership

  • Monthly after-school meetings.
  • Responsibilities include: Mock ICJ, Junior Model U.N., SSAC's newsletter, and serving as a line of communication between school and the Council.
  • Benefits include: attendance at Council speaker programs and eligibility for scholarships.
  • Social opportunities include: Outward Bound team-building, holiday get-together, and recognition dinner.
