Teacher Programs

document  ACCESS  BALANCE  SUBSTANCE  TIMELINESS

These are the hallmarks of the Council's programs for teachers from K to 12.

Teachers need access to quality and balanced resources in international/global education. The Council is a place where teachers can go to meet this need through access to speakers who are leaders in their fields and information on good curriculum resources. It is a place where they can meet colleagues to discuss some of the important issues faced in the classroom today.

East Asia Seminar
Japan in the 21st Century Program
Turkey Fellowship

Believing that teachers are multipliers, the Council designs its programs and materials to have an impact on learning over the long term. The professional development of teachers is a fundamental part of the organization's mission.

All programs are offered under the auspices of the Center for Teacher Excellence. The Center offers opportunities to:

  • Interact with scholars
  • Share best practices of the profession
  • Receive training in the use of technology that will enhance classroom teaching.

The Council has been designated a professional provider by both the New Jersey Department of Education (our New Jersey provider number is 1748) and by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (Act 48). New Jersey and Pennsylvania teachers can use selected Council programs to satisfy their professional development requirements. The Council will supply teachers with the appropriate documentation for attending these programs.
