Red vs. Blue: Two Leading Thinkers Discuss a Divided America — October 10, 2006

Andrew Sullivan and Peter Beinart

Peter Beinart

Peter Beinart, editor-at-large at The New Republic and author of The Good Fight: Why Liberals — And Only Liberals — Can Win the War on Terror and Make America Great Again, and Andrew Sullivan, columnist for Time Magazine and author of Time.com's "Daily Dish", senior editor at The New Republic and author of The Conservative Soul: How We Lost It, How to Get It Back joined the Council at the Union League to discuss how the hotly-contested 2004 Presidential election highlighted the deep rift between conservatives and liberals in the United States today. In the run-up to the November 2006 elections, Sullivan and Beinhart, two brilliant speakers and astute commentators, shared their views on what liberals and conservatives have to offer America. Moderated by Chris Satullo, The Philadelphia Inquirer.
