During the Council's hallmark Inside Washington week — timed one year and 100 days since President Obama took office — we will examine the administration's foreign policy as it is conducted through war, diplomacy, trade and development and how it is keeping us safe. We will meet with journalists, think tank scholars, Pentagon and State Department officials, and visit embassies to examine all of these issues to help us assess how the U.S. is engaging our enemies and how our alliances are adjusting to a new reality. We include a luncheon briefing at the National Press Club, a final dinner at the private Cosmos Club and a cultural highlight.
