Cuba – Dr. Frank Argote-Freyre
Five City Tour: Baracoa-Santiago-Camaguey-Trinidad-Havana
April 24 – May 6, 2012
Comprehensive, 12-night journey. Meet-the-people and understand Cuban views on the matters that mean most to them. This is not a tourist program but rather an opportunity to engage with Cubans from across the social spectrum and enjoy a meaningful exchange of ideas. Beginning in the eastern part of the country we will learn about Cuban history, culture and society from the local people we meet. Fly into Holguin and drive to Baracoa, site of the first Spanish settlement. Then in Santiago, engage with Cubans involved with the city’s lively dance and art scene. Stop in Camaguey and Trinidad. Visit a school, hospital and cooperative. Finally reach Havana – the political capital – and a center of biotechnology, eco-movements and a cornucopia of the Arts.
$5,480 Includes charter flight from Miami to Holguin, and back to Miami! WAIT LIST ONLY.

"The Cuban trip was superior in many ways: especially educational presentations, the national guide and travel directors, and contact with local people. Stimulating travel group, too!" - Alice Giles
