Voyage to the Great Lakes
With Admiral William Fallon
August 11-18, 2012
Discover the Great Lakes, a North American treasure, aboard the U.S.-flagged, 138-guest Yorktown. Operating between two great cities, Detroit and Chicago, our itinerary includes the quaint village of Bayfield, Native American culture on Manitoulin Island, and the impressive Soo Locks, which connect Lake Huron and Lake Superior. Witness the majestic grandeur of Lake Superior at Whitefish Point, discover Mackinac Island’s bygone Victorian charms, and enjoy the delightful towns of Sheboygan and Saugatuck. Joining you on board will be marine historian, Frederick Stonehouse, and Admiral William Fallon, whose last assignment on active duty was to direct all U.S. military operations in the Middle East, Central Asia and Horn of Africa, with a focus on combat efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. He will talk about recent issues of military strategy and current national security policy.
From $3,995 plus airfare.

“Admiral Fallon’s lectures were excellent – world-class! Having dinner with him and Mrs. Fallon was a highlight of the Antarctica cruise.” - Stuart Cutler
